Intervention works

What are the intervention works and what is their main purpose?

Intervention works are to support the unemployed. They mean employing an unemployed by the employer with a partial co-funding of the remuneration received by the Labour Office to the employer.

Who can be referred to the intervention works' organiser?

If you are an unemployed registered in the Poviat Labour Office, you can be referred to commence employment within intervention works.

Simultaneously, if you are an unemployed above 50, you can do the intervention works for a longer period, i.e. 24 months (48 months when the reimbursement takes place every other month).

The support award will be conditional on an individual action plan agreed with your advisor in the Office.

How long can the intervention works last?

The period of your employment within intervention works can be 6, 12 or 18 months if you are an unemployed:

  • Above 50 — from 6 months to 4 years,
  • A maintenance debtor — up to 6 months. In such circumstances you can be referred to do a job not connected with your acquired profession.

What is more, following the intervention works' end, the employer is obliged to continue your employment for 3 months (if the works lasted up to 6 months) or 6 months (if the works lasted 12 months or longer).
